Reading through lots of media reports today,  I wonder if Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Accords is going to make any difference at all. First of all, the U.S. can’t leave until 2020. In the meantime, except for Trump and a small group of alt-right fanatics, everybody else is going to be following the accord.

This includes entire states like California. And major companies like IBM and even ExxonMobil.

In his speech Trump said he was doing it for places like Pittsburgh, but even the major of Pittsburgh said they were in favor of the Paris Accords.

I predict that everybody will basically just ignore Trump and continue reducing emissions and finding new clean energy resources. The EU might even consider trade sanctions against companies who don’t comply.

What’s Trump going to do? Force people to use dirty energy?
