According to the Washington Post, Trump has made 1,950 lies since being sworn in as President on January 20, 2017. That’s an average of 5.6 a day for every day he has been President.
Unlike most politicians who, when caught in a lie, won’t repeat it again, Trump seems to enjoy repeating claims that have been proven not to be true. According to the Washington Post’s Fact Checker, there are more than 60 lies that Trump has repeated at least three times during his first year as president.
It’s as though Trump is trying to rewrite reality. Or maybe he simply doesn’t have the mental capacity to understand what is real and what is not.
